ABOUT RN ACTIVIST
Hear It From Me
Hi, everyone! I'm Gabriela: the daughter of Latinx immigrants, mother to a bicultural child, and San Francisco RN. I've been a RN for 17 years, and remain deeply committed to patient advocacy, culturally competent care, and social and environmental justice. I'm passionate about activism. I truly believe that we cannot advocate for others, without first advocating for ourselves: our needs, our asks, our health, and our boundaries. Activism starts in the home, in our relationships, and in our day-to-day.
My recent Chronic Lyme Disease diagnosis has renewed my commitment to health and wellness, and I'm humbled by the human body's resilience and ability to heal. This has further deepened my resolve to adhere to an anti-inflammatory gluten and dairy-free diet. Of course, with a little Latin flavor thrown in to remind me of my favorite dishes. My hope is this space gives you a sense of shared values and community. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to discuss a partnership or collaborative opportunity.
